Following article contains minor spoilers about the new Netflix show – Medici: Masters of Florence

Remember Season 3 Episode 9 (Rains of Castamere)? Game of Thrones fans who are watching the new Netflix series Medici: Masters of Florence were in for a shock when they saw Richard Madden (Robb Stark) and David Bradley (Walder Frey) together after the former’s character was brutally murdered at the infamous Red Wedding in the hit HBO fantasy show.

And that’s not all! Fans are convinced that Netflix is trolling them with this particular casting because Bradley is playing Cosimo de Medici’s (Madden) father in law- which strangely, he almost was in Game of Thrones. Check out some of the fan tweets below.

  1. To be honest, the problem in Game of Thrones was that Robb Stark DID NOT marry Walder Frey’s daughter. If he had, he probably would not have been killed. On the other hand, here apparently he does marry Frey’s daughter, so he should be safe. I don’t know, I haven’t watched Medici yet.
