Daniel Radcliffe, who played the titular role in the Harry Potter franchise is up for a role in Game of Thrones because he is confident that his character will be killed immediately. He tells Digital Spy:
“I’ve recently read a couple of really good TV pilot scripts. But then it’s signing on for seven years. Now, I have a little bit of freedom. So if I read a script for something that’s filming next year, I don’t have to turn it down because I’m not available – which I did, for a long time. (So) I would love to (do a short stint on GoT). If they want to just bring me in and f**king kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”
This is not the first time a Harry Potter star has expressed his interest to be on Game of Thrones. Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) had earlier stated his desire for a role on the hit HBO fantasy show, revealing that he even asked Emilia Clarke for it. You can read about it here.
