The final 2 episodes of Game of Thrones season 6 are titled The Battle of the Bastards and The Winds of Winter, HBO has confirmed. Both episode titles were leaked last month by Sky Atlantic Germany and now we have the official confirmation from HBO.
As the episode nine’s title suggests, main focus of the episode will be the battle between the Northern Armies led by Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton. The finale shares its name with the upcoming book by George R.R. Martin and many fans are predicting that the Wall will finally come down in this episode.
The runtimes for episodes 9 and 10 are at 60 and 69 minutes respectively. This also makes The Winds of Winter the longest episode in Game of Thrones‘ history. Both episodes are written by showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss and directed by Miguel Sapochnik (Hardhome).
