Cersei: Will the king and I have children?
Maggy: Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds, she said. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you
The above scene (see image) in episode 2 of Game of Thrones season 6 might be a foreshadowing of things to come. Check out this theory by redditor Matt_Something:
“I’ve been thinking about Ser Robert Strong smashing “Sir Loin’s” head into the wall (S06E02) and how it could be a foreshadowing of things to come. His blind obedience to Cersei knows no other loyalty, not even to that of his King.
Assuming Tommen will be reunited with queen Margaery at some point, Margaery will continue her coercion of Tommen over Cersei. When Tommen comes to terms with Cersei’s responsibility for Margaery’s incarceration, and the Faith Militants rise to power, Tommen may snap and lash out at his mother.
And in that moment, all the irony of Cersei’s plans backfiring on her, and the prophecies of Maggy the frog will come to a head in one horrific instant as Ser Robert Strong defends his “Queen” against her enemies, cleaving King Tommen in twain.”
The prophecy was again revisited in the season premiere when Cersie tells Jaime that Maggy’s predictions have been right and she fears the same fate for Tommen as her other two children. So there is a good chance that we might see it coming true for her youngest child in later episodes. What do you think? Is this how King Tommen Baratheon will perish?
