Dean-Charles Chapman, known for his role as Tommen Baratheon in Game of Thrones, was involved in a sex scene with Margaery Tyrell in Season 5 which raised quite a few eyebrows. Tommen is currently 9 years old in the books, though in the show he has been aged quite a bit. Even then, at the time of filming, Chapman was 16 years old, which didn’t bode well with some fans.
Chapman, now 18, shared his thoughts on the controversial sex scene with Natalie Dormer. Speaking to Express.co.uk, the actor revealed that the scene was not awkward even though it might look so:
“It’s not awkward, it might look awkward on screen because of the age difference but it’s pretend, it’s all pretend. We’re actors, Natalie’s a lovely person, she made me feel unbelievably comfortable. Hopefully she was comfortable with me. But the sex scene and stuff, it all ran smoothly. It’s all planned, we talk about it, it’s a normal day… I just had to take it [approach to the scene] as it comes.”
