Renowned British singer Adele is reportedly in talks to make her film debut in Xavier Dolan’s highly anticipated English movie The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, according to Deadline & Screen Daily. The movie stars Kit Harington as John F. Donovan, an American film star whose life and career are in danger after his correspondence with an 11-year-old actor is exposed. The film also stars Susan Sarandon, Jessica Chastain and Kathy Bates.
Adele previously worked with Dolan on her latest music video Hello, which topped US and UK charts last month. In a recent interview with Kiss FM, she had also expressed desire to work in his film.
“I’m sure I’ll get some flak for this, but I actually would like to act after working with Xavier. I would be in a film for him, definitely.”
The singer’s role is expected to be a cameo and she will most likely not contribute to the film’s original music but one of her existing hits may feature in the movie.
